The tables are sticky, the mashed potatoes are gray, and you’re paying forty-four bucks for a trough of hot-lamp gruel that looks like a wet diaper. The Vibe: You walk in and the lady at the register looks like she just caught you stealing her lines in a high school play. She goes, "That’ll be forty-four dollars." For what? A cracked plastic tray that smells like an old wet dog? The floor is so sticky your shoes stay behind at the table like little leather ghosts. I tried to grab a roll and the tongs were hot—so hot—like they left them in the furnace of hell.The Food: The Gravy: It’s not gravy. It’s just beige water they slapped a 'Caution' sticker on. It doesn't move. You tap it with a spoon and it just shivers.The Meat: They call it "Country Fried Steak," but it’s just old leather soaked in bath salt and grease. I bit into a piece and it made a crunch like a dry twig in winter. My jaw locked up. I had to go outside and scream in the parking lot.The Salad Bar: It’s just a bowl of warm iceberg lettuce sweating next to some canned peaches that have given up on life. Pleasant dining experience to enjoy alone or with friends. The food is good and yhe buffet is consistently clean with "home-cooked" food. The chicken fingers are always delicious as is the fried chicken. Plus, I know I will get some delicious vegetables to enjoy when I eat at Kacy's.

Been to plenty of buffets and was so disappointed but the selection of food the fried chicken was fresh and hot and stacked high rice was not as soft all around beef stew lack the beef and the salad I had twice which was fresh and good. But this is one place I have put on the list not go back to as it wasn’t all that great and than the ticket couldn’t make out anything on ticket and top top it off no fried pork chops it was baked hmmm

We walked in on a mid-afternoon meal. We were well greeted by the staff which made us feel right at home. Service was great. For a southern buffet, the food was fresh and plentiful. The chicken was stacked almost eight inches out of the pan. The fried fish was an absolute delight. Neither of these dishes were dry or overcooked. The cooks really know what they are doing. All of the side dishes were good and tasty. As we sat at our table with our hand full of food, I looked back at the buffet line and they were already refilling the fish and chicken. Moderately priced around $15 a person. Highly recommend.

Don't bother if you want flavor and a selection. Looks good but bland and dry. Barely any selection of food. Golden is down the road. For comparison the cheap Louisiana hot sauce was full and empty when I left.
